Sweetie Pies Bakery
My mouth meets a 7 layer treat from famous Sweetie Pies Bakery in beautiful Napa, California. Earlier today, we walked through the petrified forest. We also saw Old Faithful of California, one of only three geysers which shot up 30 glorious feet, just as it has for so many years.

Lake Elsinore Storm
If you've never been to a Triple A baseball game, I recommend it. The Storm is the farm team for the San Diego Padres. You're really close to the action, it's local, cheap, and fun. My school came for free Saturday afternoon thanks to Quality Toyota of Corona and as we were leaving, they handed out free vouchers to Monday night's game. So we took Grandma Pat and a neighbor kid. Best part is, it makes me feel like an American.

Waiting and Writing
It's a Saturday morning and I'm sitting in the bleachers at Corona High waiting for Hannah to play her tennis match. It just rained yesterday, so the courts were wet and they're behind by about 30 minutes, so it seemed like the perfect time to blog. I'll be taking my family to Northern CA in early May to scope out the different counties. We're in search of an area where we might relocate in the next three years. I'll likely go for an assistant principal position. On our trip we'll see my friend Joel Jacks, Kevin Boesler, and my Uncle Kevin. We'll also check out the jelly belly factory and random popular eateries. Currently, I'm editing my fifth wedding...a Hindu wedding ceremony of a friend of mine...he's not Hindu, but his wife is. He holds an eclectic view of religion, namely, whatever works for you is fine. From a purely aesthetic point of view, the wedding was beautiful. It was by far the most colorful event I've ever covered. There were ethnic dances and even a bagpipe performance!

Hannah and Daddy
Here we sit in my truck after school, waiting for Mommy. Dinner at Chic-Fil-A is only a few short moments away. I enjoy the basic sandwich, fries, and medium Coke. Usually I just say #1 and they understand. Typically I ask for BBQ sauce and Spicy Buffalo sauce for my sandwich...they don't add it to the sandwich...I dip. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a big dipper. Ketchup for the fries rounds out whole experience.

My Dad and I
I love my Dad. Here we are on St. Patrick's Day weekend. My dad hates this picture because he just woke up, but he's awesome!
